As a school we regard after-school clubs as very important experiences for our pupils. They help to enrich the curriculum and develop further skills. There’s an after school activity out there for every child and the best thing about them is they’re brilliant for all sorts of reasons – not just learning a new skill.
After-school clubs and sports can improve the academic performance and social skills of primary aged children. A study funded by the Nuffield Foundation, found taking part in activities after the formal school day could play a role in closing the attainment gap between children from different backgrounds. We are continuously developing the range of clubs available. The clubs are very popular and we enjoy receiving feedback from parents and children.
