Our broad-based curriculum and extra-curricular sporting activities provide the opportunity for each child to gain the understanding that physical activity is an important aspect in the development of their personal well-being. Focus areas such as court games, gymnastics, dance and invasion games are taught on a rotational basis, allowing students to develop their overall physical fitness and sports skills base. Although competition is introduced and encouraged, the emphasis at this age is on participation in an enjoyable, safe and non-threatening environment.
The School takes part in inter-school competitions in various sports.
The Sport Premium is allocated to schools in order to improve the provision of PE and school sport, and ensure that pupils may lead a healthier and more active lifestyle. Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they will have the freedom to choose how they do this.
Each year we aim to spend the allocated funds on equipment and training in order to extend the skills, experiences and opportunities for our children to take part in different activities.
