Our school uses security software from a company called Symantec. One third of Symantec’s company is a consumer division called Norton which provides software such as Norton Anvivirus, Norton 360 and Norton Online Backup for home users. We are pleased to be able to offer you Symantec Endpoint Protection; the business equivalent of Norton Antivirus; for your home computers and are able to do this because the license for this software extends to home use. We pay yearly for this software to protect our school network so you wont need to pay a thing.
If you are a parent of a pupil currently on roll or an employee and you would like to take advantage of this software simply download the License Addendum and print it off. Alternatively, you can collect a Symantec License Addendum from the school office.
You need to fill in only the last three boxes with your name, date and your signature to add yourself to the schools license. When you bring this form in to school we will fill in the rest and provide you with the password to download the program. You will want to keep the extracted SEP11 folder somewhere safe in case the download area is removed in the future. You are reminded that the license agreement only entitles you to use the software for the duration that you are on roll or employed by Napier Community Primary and Nursery School. Help and support for this software will need to be obtained from the User Guide included in the download or from advice found elsewhere on the Internet. Napier will be unable to provide you any support for this product and Symantec will only provide support to license holders such as Napier. Napier cannot be held responsible for any issues surrounding the installation or use of this software.
