We are pleased to announce that as of 1st September 2014 we are now an academy, having joined The Kemnel Academy Trust known as TKAT.

Our new website will be available soon. We hope the information you need is available here in the meantime.

We are all very proud of what we do here at Napier to help everybody achieve and be a success. We see ourselves as an important and central part of the community where everybody is welcome and feels valued. Napier is a successful community Learning and Achieving Together.

Dropping off and Picking up

As mentioned in the July newsletter, from this time forward, due to concerns about the number of pupils coming down narrow stairs and corridors, we have had to implement set playgrounds for dropping off and collecting pupils.  Years 1, 2 and 3 pupils must be dropped off and collected from the Beresford Road entrance at both the start and end of the day.  Years 4, 5 and 6 will use the Napier Road playground. We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience to parents who need to pick pupils up from both playgrounds, but staff will remain with the pupils until they have been collected.  We appreciate your co-operation and understanding in this matter.

The school is directed to take registers at 08:55. The gates will be closed at 08:55 and any pupil arriving after this time will need to be registered as late via the school office.

Pupils Walking Home on their own

The school policy is to only allow Year 6 pupils to walk home on their own following written permission from home. For the start of the new school year, we ask for all written permission to be renewed for our records. Pupils will not be allowed to walk home on their own unless we have had prior permission in writing.

Mobile phones in school

There is no need for pupils to bring mobile phones into school.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils, achieving equal opportunities and combating discrimination.
